- CNS – We offer extensive expertise in early clinical drug development of CNS compounds on three continents. This includes quantitative EEG, Polysomnography (18 sleep beds on two continents), Cognitive Function testing and Electroneurophysiology. In addition, we have considerable experience in conducting complex patient studies, including Parkinson's Disease, Schizophrania, Alzheimer's Disease and Major Depressive Disorders
- Cardiovascular – We are able to offer extensive cardiovascular expertise along with a wide range of related services such as Thorough QT/QTc (TQT) studies to assess cardiac safety of new compounds. An experienced staff , including a dedicated cardiologist, provide top quality and support harmonized interpretation of clinical cardiovascular data. All Units have state of the art equipment and perform cardiac studies accordning to International Guidelines
- Respiratory – We have considerable experience in performing Phase I and early Phase II clinical trials in respiratory medicine and therapeutics. Our sites are equipped with modern, sophisticated respiratory measuring and monitoring technologies, including whole body plethysmography, excersice testing, bronshoscopy and Bronch-Alveolar Lavage (BAL). Additionally, we also perform more complex measurements such as exhaled breath condensate and bronochial challenge tests
- Metabolism/Endocrine – We have a well established database of Type I and Type II diabetes mellitus patients. With continual recruitment initiatives, we are able to increase this database on a regular basis. PAREXEL also offers manual glucose clamp studies in a state of the art 10-bed glucose clamp unit. We also have considerable experience in performing obesity studies
- Oncology – Within the PAREXEL ClinPharm Network we have successfully performed numerous oncology studies. With Units located either in a hospital or on a medical University campus, we are ideally situated to collaborate with the oncology divisions for the recruitment of patient volunteers.
