Dr. Tomasz H. Zastawny is a seasoned life science executive and scientist with over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics, and medical device industries. He has excelled in creating and executing global product development strategies, resulting in the successful launch of several pharmaceutical products and medical devices, as well as numerous FDA, PMDA, and EMA breakthrough and orphan drug designation approvals.
Dr. Zastawny's notable positions include serving as Senior VP of Development at Rakuten, VP of Clinical Operations at Epizyme, Chief Development Officer at Adial Pharmaceuticals, and VP of Development and Clinical Operations at Aveo Oncology. He has demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in restructuring, operational execution, pipeline expansion, and cost analysis.
In addition to his industry roles, Dr. Zastawny has been a Partner/Chief Scientific Officer at Quark Venture, CEO & President of MTZ/ECRC Clinical Research, and President of the CEE Unit of PRA Intl. Throughout his career, he has exhibited a strong ability to grow and develop organizations, enhance profitability, and expand operational reach.
Dr. Zastawny has an impressive academic background, including over 80 published articles, conference presentations, and book chapters. He is also a sought-after lecturer and panelist in the biopharmaceutical R&D sector.
Dr. Zastawny has served as an Advisory Board Member for Clara Health and Board Member at KCR Clinical Development and has recently completed Certification in Finance, Strategy Execution, and High Potential Leadership Programs at Harvard Business School.
