NEW PAREXEL TAGLINE EXPERTISE THAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE?
BOSTON, MA, June 20, 2005 — PAREXEL International Corporation (Nasdaq: PRXL), a leading global bio/pharmaceutical services provider, has unveiled its new tagline Expertise that makes the Difference™, which originated from a worldwide employee tagline contest that drew more than 600 employee contestants from 46 locations in 25 countries, and that resulted in 1,000 taglines for consideration.
“Our clients know that when they choose PAREXEL to help them speed their new drug or medical device to market, they receive world-class expertise from professionals who have in-depth knowledge and experience,” said Susan Murphy Warren, Vice President of Corporate Marketing and Strategy. “We involved our employees, who are the foundation of our business, in developing and selecting a tagline that represented their contribution to the success of our clients.”
After reviewing taglines in relation to the Company’s strategy, testing them with clients and selecting semi-finalists, PAREXEL held an employee vote of all employees—over 5,000 individuals worldwide. The edited tagline, Expertise that makes the Difference™, submitted by Baljit Samra, Associate Director, Data Management, based in the Uxbridge, UK office of PAREXEL, resonated deeply with employee voters as well as with PAREXEL clients.
According to Samra, the inspiration for his tagline entry was his personal guiding principal to make a difference in whatever he does in combination with the PAREXEL mission statement “to combine the strength of our expertise, experience, and innovation to advance the worldwide success of the bio/pharmaceutical and medical device industries in preventing and curing disease.” Samra donated the prize money that he received from the employee tagline contest to tsunami victims in Sri Lanka.
PAREXEL is planning to launch a Brand Champion Program to recognize and reward employees who exemplify the essence of the Company’s new Expertise that makes the Difference™ tagline. “PAREXEL’s Brand Champions will be employees who demonstrate how they share their expertise to help our clients achieve unparalleled performance,” said Murphy Warren.
