Site Job Descriptions and CV Considerations

Items to include when creating and SOP for Job Descriptions and CV Considerations include:

  • The job description should be used as a guide to understand and explain supervisor's expectations of the employee. Together with written objectives this will serve as the basis for employee performance evaluations.
  • While the job description should capture the primary functions required of the job, it may be necessary, based on reasonable requests from a supervisor, for an employee to perform tasks not explicitly included in the job description.
  • Job descriptions should in no way be considered all-inclusive or all-encompassing.
  • The purpose of written job descriptions is to clearly define job and organizational responsibilities.
  • Job descriptions should be reviewed for any employee that takes a new position. If a job description changes, then all affected employees must review it, within 30 days.
  • Curriculum Vitaes (CV) should be maintained for all staff and capture the staff member’s qualifications, positions within the site, previous employment, clinical trial experience, and publications  if applicable.
  • The CV shall be updated as required when a staff member changes positions/role or any updated clinical trial experience or publications. At minimum every two years the CV should be reviewed and updated.
