In her current role, Alessandra provides cross-functional leadership for the Clinical Outcomes Assessment (COA) team, guiding COA endpoint strategy development and regulatory strategy for COA across therapeutic areas. She directs both qualitative and quantitative studies with sophisticated expertise in content validation, psychometric assessment, burden of disease and preference studies. Alessandra excels at conceptualizing, implementing, and delivering high-impact burden of disease studies, in-trial interviews, and complex surveys, guiding projects from strategic planning through results interpretation and dissemination. Her work encompasses the full spectrum of COA development, from initial endpoint strategy formulation and regulatory positioning to comprehensive validation studies and the interpretation of psychometric findings that support regulatory submissions.

Her comprehensive skill set and leadership enable her to deliver rigorous, scientifically sound outcomes research that meets the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.

Work experience

Alessandra brings 16 years of distinguished experience as an experimental quantitative psychologist, cognitive neuroscientist, and Chartered psychologist, having worked across academic institutions, research organizations, and private healthcare settings. Her extensive expertise spans neuroscience, mental health, rare conditions, blood and autoimmune disorders, sleep medicine, behavioral health, and gerontology. 

Education 

Alessandra holds a Ph.D. and MSc in pshycology, human cognitive neuroscience, from the University of Edinburgh, as well as a BSc in psychology from the University of Padova.
