Experience

Amar advises on projects requiring a complex interplay of disruptive pricing, evidence, coding/payment policy, and payer strategy across US Medicare and commercial channels.

He is a tenured health economics and reimbursement professional with experience across consulting and industry. His expertise includes evidence optimization, value positioning, HTA strategy and market access planning, reimbursement tools and communication (objection handlers, payer/provider targeted communications, KOL engagement), and publication and communication strategy (conferences, manuscript development, value dossiers).

Over 50 publications in leading medical and industry journals and multiple scholarly engagements at premier conferences. He is a member of the leadership committee of ISPOR’s Device and Diagnostic Special Interest Group and a guest lecturer at the Johns Hopkins’ Carey School of Business. 

Education

Amar received his Bachelor of Science from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering/Radiology from Duke University.
