Christian Wagener

Christian Wagener is Vice President, Early Phase Project Management Office at Parexel, where he leads global teams responsible for the strategic oversight and operational delivery of early phase programs worldwide. In this role, he drives portfolio management strategy, partnership excellence, and service execution for biotech and pharmaceutical customers across multiple therapeutic areas.

Work Experience
With more than 20 years of experience across the pharmaceutical and CRO sectors, Christian has held senior roles spanning project management, strategic account leadership, business development, and operational leadership across early phase through late-stage clinical development. Prior to his current position, he served as Head of the Early Phase Clinical Unit Berlin and led strategic partnership accounts as Senior Client Relationship Director at Parexel. Before joining Parexel, he contributed to biotechnology innovation by working in leading positions in two biotech companies and conducted cancer research at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan, Italy.

Education
Christian holds a Ph.D. in Biology (Molecular Medicine) from the Max-Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine in Berlin, Germany, and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt holder.
