Karla Kanis, M.D.
Vice President, Global TA Section Head Neurology
A neurologist and specialist in medical monitoring, Karla joined Parexel in 2000. Before assuming responsibilities for the Neurology Section, she served as section head for Rare Neurological Diseases. She is global lead physician for global trials in various neurological indications, including Huntington’s disease, CIDP, myasthenia gravis, neuromyelitis optica, acute stroke, ALS, and Parkinson’s disease.
Work Experience
Before joining Parexel, Karla was an attending neurologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston. She has fellowship training in Neurointensive Care and Stroke.
Education
A graduate of Lehigh University, Karla is a Doctor of Medicine with a degree from Boston University School of Medicine.
