Marta Leon Montagut

Marta is VP, Launch Excellence where she is leading a team of talented Launch Excellence Leads, whose focus is to work on the start-up strategy and planning for our studies. As start-up has increased in complexity over the past few years and pressure on sites is greater than ever, Marta and her team collaborate with key areas of our business to identify the best start-up strategy for each of our clients, based on their specific needs, industry trends and our country and site expertise to ensure we meet the needed recruitment targets and obtain a timely and clean data set at the end of the studies.  Marta joined Parexel in May 2020 and most recently served as VP, Client Delivery within the Global Project Leadership team where she was the Account Delivery Lead for one of our top Enterprise accounts.  

Marta is an energetic leader with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams. Prior to joining Parexel, Marta spent 17 years working in other CROs and Pharma companies in increasing levels of leadership within Clinical Operations and Project Leadership, heading the North America Clinical Operations division, during a 3-year period relocation to Princeton, New Jersey with her family, as well as the South European Clinical Operations division from her current location in Barcelona, Spain. Marta received her Biology Degree from the University of Barcelona as well as her Master’s Degree on Clinical Trials Monitoring in 2004.
