Nancy Kivel, M.D.
Senior Vice President, Medical Sciences
Nancy is the Global Therapeutic Area Head and Women’s Health expert. She joined Parexel in 2007 and has experience in women’s health drug development, oncology, and infectious diseases.
Work experience
Nancy is a physician with experience in oncology, infectious diseases and women’s health drug development. She completed her OB-GYN residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and was on staff at UMass Memorial Medical Center and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston through 1998.
Since 2001, Nancy has been involved in clinical research as a medical monitor through the Office for Clinical Trials and Research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, the medical director for ActivBiotics, Inc., and as a consultant for biotechnology companies for clinical strategy development, clinical trial design and monitoring, and due diligence activities for in-licensing. Her clinical trial experience involves Phase I-IV studies including First-in-Human, single and multiple dose escalation, drug-to-drug interactions, chemotherapy induced neutropenia, multiple myeloma, hepatocellular carcinoma, acute and chronic leukemia, lymphoma, breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, differentiated thyroid cancer treatment of sexually transmitted infections, Helicobacter pylori infections, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hemostasis in surgery and influenza vaccines.

Nancy received her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, Boston.
