Jonathan Shough

Jonathan E. Shough is Chief Information Officer for Parexel. In this role he provides global leadership for the company’s Information Technology (IT) strategic plan, including the development of innovative technologies and solutions to accelerate drug development initiatives in a constantly evolving and growing clinical trial landscape.

Jonathan brings more than 30 years of experience in IT to Parexel with deep expertise in both the development and commercialization of innovative, award-winning technology solutions. Most recently he was President, Technology Solutions for Advarra — the largest integrated provider of Institutional Review Board (IRB) services covering a network of health systems, cancer centers, academic medical centers and investigators. In this role he was responsible for driving technology product strategy and offerings, commercialization and customer relationships.

Prior to Advarra, Jonathan spent 20 years in senior-level IT roles in the CRO industry, including Senior Vice President and CIO, LabCorp Drug Development (now Fortrea); Senior Vice President and Chief Data Officer, Syneos Health; Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, INC Research (now Syneos Health); and Executive Director, IT for Quintiles (now IQVIA).

Jonathan attended Guilford College and is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
