Emma has been with Parexel for more than 10 years and has extensive experience in managing and leading market access consulting projects, including HTA/reimbursement submissions in Europe. Her  role ensures that global strategies including pivotal clinical trials, long-term data collection studies, real world evidence generation plans and HEOR strategies are prepared for the reimbursement challenges that each product will face. Emma has also a lot of experience working with market teams/affiliates to ensure alignment with local needs where the key goal is to have the evidence to support the products’ positioning in the local market at minimal risk to the payer. Emma has a wealth of therapeutic area experience including rare diseases, immuno-oncology, oncology, hematology, immunology and neuroscience. Emma also holds specific experience in supporting HTA strategies for innovative therapies that encompass gene therapy, somatic cell therapy, and tissue-engineered products, also called Advanced Medicinal Therapy Products (ATMPs).   

Work experience

Emma has over 12 years’ experience of working within market access and HEOR, supporting large, small and emerging pharma clients. Supporting the development of their Phase III clinical trial programs, global market access/evidence generation strategies to local stakeholder mapping and developing reimbursement dossiers/HEOR tool adaptations for Europe and beyond.

Emma has worked on many projects across a variety of market access projects including, health economic models, comparative effectiveness analyses, real world evidence strategies leveraging secondary data assets, as well as successful HTA strategies and reimbursement approvals). Emma has a lot of experience working with market affiliate teams to build tailored reimbursement pathways and 'fit for purpose' tools.

She is involved in the continual development of Parexel’s Access Consulting core service areas and internal processes as well as thought leadership.

Education

Emma holds a MD from Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm and a MSc in Economics form Stockholm University. Emma is also academically affiliated to the Department of LIME at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm.
