Gamal is an industry physician with more than 15 years of experience in drug development and medical affairs, primarily in oncology.
Work experience
His tenure in clinical research and development spans positions including Medical Director and Global Clinical Lead at Pfizer Global R&D and as Clinical Trials Head at Novartis Institute for Biomedical Research. He has worked on multiple major clinical trials, playing a key role in both approval and launch, and in the development and implementation of medical plans and strategies for lifecycle planning. He has worked on programs including chronic myeloid leukemia, metastatic breast cancer and renal cell carcinoma.
Education
Gamal holds an executive M.B.A. in Pharmaceutical Marketing from Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, and earned his M.D. at the University of Alexandria Medical School in Alexandria, Egypt.
