Brett Doble, PhD

Principal Consultant, Health Economics Modelling

Brett is a health economist with more than 10 years of experience in academia and HTA agency work across multiple international markets using methods for assessing a wide array of healthcare interventions spanning multiple therapeutic areas. He is well versed in decision analytic modelling, evidence synthesis, applied statistical analyses/real-world evidence development, and primary data collection, including the conduct of cross-sectional surveys, focus groups and time-and-motion studies. Brett brings scientific rigor and perspective to all projects which is evidence by more the 40 publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Work experience

Prior to joining Parexel in 2021, Brett was a Technical Adviser in Economics and Data Analytics at the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), where he contributed to the development and quality assurance of economic models as well as led programmes of work to increase the use of real-world data to support NICE guidelines. Prior to joining NICE, Brett was an Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School in Singapore and before that held post-doctoral research positions at the University of Oxford and University of Cambridge.

Education

Brett has a PhD in Health Economics from Monash University in Australia, an MSc in Health Research Methodology, and a BSc in Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences, both from McMaster University in Canada.
