Katarzyna has more than 20 years of academic and industry experience . She has held various regional and global leadership positions and has worked with the many pricing & reimbursement challenges in the pharma and medtech industry.

She is a Professor at the Kozminski University of Warsaw heading up the Health Economics & Healthcare Management Division. Katarzyna leads the International Master Program Health Economics & Big Data (HEBDA). The HEBDA program includes six months internships organized in the collaboration with the Ministry of Health, National Health Fund as well as the number of leading pharmaceutical and medical devices manufacturers.

Work experience

Prior to joining Parexel, Katarzyna has held several global and regional Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) positions at different pharmaceutical companies including AstraZeneca and BiogenIdec, Bristol Myers Squibb and Lundbeck. During her tenure, she has lead Market Access teams in Central Eastern European (CEE) and the Nordic Region. Katarzyna has also supported Straub Medical as Global Market Access Lead and gained HEOR sales experience at GE Healthcare.

Education

Her extensive health economics knowledge was acquired at the University of York, University of Lund, and University of Bergen as well as during the International Doctoral Courses in the Health Economics and Policy, organized by the Swiss School of Public Health.

In 2007, Katarzyna gained her PhD. Other notable accomplishments include her habilitation book “Optimal allocation of healthcare resources” published in 2017 and her ISPOR (International Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research) nomination in October 2020 to Health Sciences Policy Council (HSPC). Katarzyna is also the chair of ISPOR Special Interest Group Digital Health.
