Claire is an allergy-immunology specialist and Global Therapeutic Area Section Head for allergy. Her responsibilities include: providing scientific and strategic guidance to customers, medical monitoring, and medical reviews and was actively involved in the pivotal Phase III program for the first biologic to become available for moderate to severe atopic dermatitis patients.

Work experience

Claire completed a residency in pediatrics at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2008 and joined the faculty as a Pediatric Chief Resident from 2008-2009. Subsequently, Claire pursued fellowship training in allergy and immunology at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, where she was awarded a two-year research training grant from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. Her research focused on the impact of combined diesel exhaust and viral infection on airway innate immunity. Claire is certified by both the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

Claire’s therapeutic areas of expertise include asthma, allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, food allergy, stinging insect allergy, drug allergy, urticaria/angioedema, hereditary angioedema, primary immunodeficiencies, vaccinations, immunotherapy, atopic and contact dermatitis, pruritus, acute and chronic urticaria/angioedema, eosinophilic esophagitis, acute/chronic sinusitis, vocal cord dysfunction, bronchitis, allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and complementary medicine.

Education

Claire received her bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and her M.D. from Georgetown University School of Medicine.
