Jonathan Shough

Jonathan E. Shough is Chief Information Officer for Parexel. In this role he provides global leadership for the company’s IT strategic plan, driving the development of innovative technologies and solutions to accelerate drug development initiatives in a constantly evolving and growing clinical trial landscape.

Jonathan brings more than 30 years of experience in information technology to Parexel with deep expertise in both the development and commercialization of innovative, award-winning technology solutions. Most recently he was President, Technology Solutions, for Advarra — the largest integrated provider of Institutional Review Board (IRB) services covering a network of more than 3,500 health systems, cancer centers, academic medical centers, and investigators — where he was responsible for driving technology product strategy and offerings, commercialization, and customer relationships.

Prior to Advarra, Jonathan spent 20 years in senior-level IT roles in the CRO industry, including Senior Vice President and CIO, LabCorp Drug Development; Senior Vice President and Chief Data Officer at Syneos Health; Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at INC Research; and Executive Director, IT for Quintiles (now IQVIA). Jonathan attended Guilford College and is a US Marine Corps veteran. He is based in our Durham, NC, headquarters.
